Get involved

Garden Launch _040

We want to involve you in decisions that affect your home, your neighbourhood and your future.

Why should I get more involved?

Your participation has advantages for you and us. For you getting involved means you can:

  • Help improve your local community
  • Tell us what you do and don't like and the changes you'd like to see
  • Meet your neighbours and other tenants
  • Develop your own skills, confidence and knowledge
  • Use your experience for applying for jobs and volunteering

Ways to get involved?

There's many ways to get involved - it's not just sitting in meetings. You can choose what suits you best for the lest below or call us on 0131 657 0600 if you'd like to find out more. You can also email customer@castlerockedinvar.co.uk.

Scrutiny Focus Panel

Customers work with us as a type of 'inspector' to check our services work effectively and how they meet the Scottish Social Housing Charter. You will have the opportunity to quiz all levels of staff and carry out inspections. Your findings and recommendations go to the Board Members of Castle Rock Edinvar. If you would like to take part, please let us know.

Older persons housing forum

This group is currently reviewing its aims and objectives and membership with the help of the Tenants Information Service.

Talkback

For tenants interested in communication and to help us deliver customer focused publications and help ensure that information for tenants is relevant, effective and easy to follow.

Tenants and residents associations

These are local groups that reflect the interests of people who live close to each other. They hold regular meetings to share views, discuss common concerns and find solutions to problems. Ask your housing officer if your area has an association already. If it doesn't, we can help you to set one up.

Community membership

Have your say by applying to be one of our active community members. You'll be invited to attend our board's Annual General Meeting, where you can raise any issues and question the Chair.
