Paying your rent

It is your responsibility to pay your rent, even if you are claiming housing benefit, or the housing element of Universal Credit. Your tenancy agreement and the annual rent review letter we send you sets out what rent you are charged.

Rent is our main source of income. We use this money to carry out repairs and improvements to the homes we manage, and to provide a good quality service.

Make a payment online

You can now pay your rent, services charges and other payments by setting up an online account.

Automated payment - anytime

Want to make a payment quickly - without having to talk to anyone? Have your debit or credit card ready and call 0845  850 9573 (charged at local rate when calling from a landline) or 01772 667007 (if calling from a mobile this is charged at a national rate and cheaper than mobile rates). The automated payment option will be selected. This service is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Other ways to pay                                              Direct Debit

Paying by direct debit is secure. It means there is no need for you to leave home, queue to pay your rent or worry about remembering to pay on time. It's also the cheapest way for us to collect rent. This helps us keep our rent affordable.

For information about direct debit or using a payment card at a Paypoint centre, read the paying your rent section of your customer handbook. It also contains lots of other useful information - like how we can help you with rent arrears and housing benefit.

When you've made a payment

Make a note of your receipt number. If you've paid online you can email the receipt to yourself on the receipt page.
